Craneflies
Order: Diptera
The family Tipulidae are the ungainly looking craneflies or daddy
longlegs as they are sometimes known. These insects hover over
calm waters and can find themselves getting caught in the surface
film often around lake margins. Fished wet or dry, the cranefly
imitation have beautiful long thin legs that give a nice large
'footprint' in the water film or a lot of movement under the surface.
As part of our range of fly fishing flies we are committed to bring
you a wide selection of
