Water Snail Flies

At times, in certain places, water snails make up a significant
part of a trout's diet. The snails of most interest to trout are
5-6mm long and are olive to dark olive/brown and are taken from
the bottom or floating on the surface where they get an oxygen
boost. Experiment with various presentations from dead-drift to
different slow retrieves.
