RSS Feeds

How do I receive RSS feeds?
The easy way to begin receiving rss feeds is to download the free web browser Firefox. This browser supports Live Bookmarks that detects RSS feeds on a web page and allows users to subscribe to them. When you see this live bookmark icon in the bottom right corner of your Firefox browser that means RSS feeds are available. Click on it to subscribe. The feed will appear in your Bookmarks list.
Other RSS-enabled browsers include Opera and Safari (for Tiger/10.4).

Using a news reader
News readers are created to specifically manage RSS subscriptions. News readers such as Awasu (Win), SharpReader (Win), NetNewsWire (OS X), and many others, allow you to display and subscribe to the RSS feeds you want.
Having installed a news reader, go to the web page with the RSS feed you want (in our case the home page). Locate the rss or xml button , Right-click it and select "Copy Shortcut" from the popup menu [This is the subscription's channel location]. Go to your news reader and click 'File -> New Channel' (Awasu) or 'File -> Open RSS Feed' (SharpReader). Right-click in the text box and 'Paste' the RSS feed channel. Follow the prompts for adding the feed/channel.
